Discipline, Devotion, and Dance

Ananya's love for music and movement began early. As a child, she was drawn to the rhythm of songs and the way dancers could move with every beat, first finding confidence on stage through dance and performance.
Her journey in Bharathanatyam began when she joined Chandana Aunty's classes. What started with basic adavus slowly grew into a deeper love for expression, storytelling, mudras, rhythm, and the devotional beauty of the art form.

Guided by her Guru, Ananya has grown from learning simple steps to performing complex pieces with confidence, precision, and bhava. Each practice, mistake, and performance has helped her understand the discipline and meaning within Bharathanatyam.
Her dance journey has taken her to larger stages and meaningful places, including performances in India, Greece, Ayodhya, Sri Lanka, and temples in California. These experiences strengthened her connection to tradition, devotion, and community.

This Arangetram is a milestone of gratitude: to Lord Rama, to her Guru, and to the family and community who have supported her for more than nine years of training.
Ananya is especially thankful to her parents, sister, and brother for their love, patience, encouragement, and quiet sacrifices. Her performance is offered as Sri Rama Arpanam, a dance of devotion and gratitude.
